			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Bad habits feel so good at first as you ladle more gravy on your mashed potatoes which go so well with the chicken fried steak.  One little snort of a non-addictive drug won’t hurt.</p>
<p>Lying to your spouse was hard the first time but it got easier.  Bad habits have a way of doing that &#8211; getting easier.  Bad habits are a lot like drugs, they’re addictive and you find a way to rationalize them.</p>
<p>When you’re ready to take back control of your life and do away with your bad habits then identify them.  Write them down.  A bad habit could be as simple as criticizing your spouse or being impatient in the grocery line and saying words you regret.  Admit you have bad habits, identify them and write them down.</p>
<p>Be specific.  How much do you indulge in this habit and how does it affect your life? The longer you’ve been addicted to the bad habit the more difficult it will be to give it up.  All the more reason to get started now.  If the habit costs you money, determine how much it has cost you over the years and how you could have better spent that money.</p>
<p>The bad habit may not just hit you in the pocketbook but your physical and emotional health as well.  It could be preventing you from achieving your goals and dreams for a better life.  Bad habits waste money, strength and time.  They eat away at your mind until you find a way to live with them rather than kick the habit.</p>
<p>Now, write down good habits that you want to acquire.  This could be just the opposite of your bad habit.  The bad habit could be drinking too much in front of the TV.  The good habit could be to stop drinking and spend more time outside with the kids or at the health center.  Give yourself a time limit when you say out with the bad and in with the good.</p>
<p>Put the list of good habits in a place where you see them every day.  Bad habits are easy to form but good habits come hard.  You’ll need all the help you can get and if they’re staring you in the face every day the positive constant reinforcement will begin to work wonders.  You’ll feel uncomfortable at first but like nourishing a bad habit the good habits will get easier too.</p>
<p>Change your routine and stay away from any thing, place or person that might tempt you.<br />
Replace that empty feeling as the bad habit leaves your body with something that feels good and is good.  Seek help if needed and become emotionally and physically strong. You can become a slave to bad habits or good.  The choice is yours to make today.</p>

<p>Self esteem help is much easier then you think. Everyday you have the opportunity to let your self esteem be high or low. Of course there are some simple things that will help you increase your self esteem. Here is some self esteem help with 3 simple tips.</p>
<p>1. Don’t let your words be your worst enemy.</p>
<p>Self esteem help start with you. If you are always running yourself down then it’s no wonder why you may have a low self esteem. There are plenty of other things out there that are trying to bring your self esteem down, don’t let you be the main cause of it. For instance, what kind of things do you tell yourself? Do you tell yourself negative stuff on a regular basis? This is the first thing that you need to change to help improve your self esteem. Talk to yourself right and you will see yourself right.</p>
<p>2. Protect yourself from negative people.</p>
<p>Are your friends really your friends? This is a very important question that you need to answer. If the people you call your friends are constantly running you down and telling you negative things, these people aren’t your friends at all. One of the fastest ways to help your self esteem to improve is to hang out with people that will build you up instead of making you feel bad about yourself. You deserve to be friends with people that actually care about you.</p>
<p>3. Believe in yourself.</p>
<p>This is not always easy but it’s very simple. You are here for a purpose and don’t let yourself doubt that. Once you start believing in yourself your self esteem help grow by leaps and bounds. You don’t have to start believing in yourself in every area but just start somewhere. Start with something small. The more you believe in yourself in one area the more you start to believe in yourself in other areas.</p>

<p>Even the most outwardly confident person has times when they would appreciate more self confidence. For the rest of us mere mortals, here are some helpful tips for improving self confidence.</p>
<p>1. Stop putting yourself down</p>
<p>We all have an inner voice. You know, the one that nags you incessantly if you get the slightest thing wrong. You wouldn&#8217;t let anyone else talk to you in that tone of voice, so don&#8217;t let yourself do it either! This takes a little practice but the essence is that every time you hear yourself criticizing you, tell that voice to go away (your choice on how polite you are when you do this!)</p>
<p>2. Play to your strengths</p>
<p>You&#8217;re good at quite a lot of things if you think about it. Play to these strengths. Do more of the things you&#8217;re good at. You&#8217;ll find your confidence improving as you become more successful at these. Success breeds success, so it will spill over into other areas of your life.</p>
<p>3. Stop being so negative!</p>
<p>Cut down on your intake of negative things. Turn off the news. Don&#8217;t read a newspaper. These two can be scary but other people will tell you if anything actually important hits the news. Don&#8217;t be negative about yourself either &#8211; stop saying that you&#8217;ll never be any good at whatever it is. As far as possible, don&#8217;t let others be negative about you either.</p>
<p>4. Set achievable goals</p>
<p>Set them out step by step. You wouldn&#8217;t climb a whole mountain in one giant leap. Split your goals into &#8220;bite sized chunks&#8221; so that you are constantly achieving something towards your goals. The regular sense of achievement will start boosting your confidence.</p>
<p>5. Remember a positive event</p>
<p>Go back to when you were more confident &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t matter when particularly. Remember what you felt like. See yourself being confident and calm and collected. Make this image larger and more colorful. Add in the sounds that were there when you were feeling so full of confidence. Then &#8220;anchor&#8221; that feeling &#8211; maybe touch your left earlobe, maybe pinch your thumb and middle finger together, whatever you can use to easily &#8220;anchor&#8221; the feeling. Repeat this a few times and you&#8217;ll find that the simple firing of your trigger will bring back these warm, happy, confident feelings.</p>
<p>6. Be yourself</p>
<p>You are who you are. Over time, you can use various self improvement techniques to work on yourself and improve things you want to change. But accept yourself as you are &#8211; you&#8217;ll actually find you&#8217;re probably quite likeable &#8220;as is&#8221;.</p>
<p>7. Celebrate failure</p>
<p>You didn&#8217;t learn to walk the first time you wobbled onto two feet. You probably weren&#8217;t a natural bicycle rider or car driver either. As we grow older, we seem to expect to be able to do new things brilliantly the first time we try them. Unless it&#8217;s painting by numbers or something equally facile, this doesn&#8217;t happen in real life. Each failed attempt is just one more way you&#8217;ve learned how not to do something. Learn from your mistakes and build on your successes.</p>
