The Law of Attraction is always at work
No matter if you are aware or not, awake or asleep, working or relaxing, the Law of Attraction is in constant and perpetual motion in your life. Most people who do not fully understand the Law of Attraction believe that if you don’t know about it, then it isn’t working in your life. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. You are always attracting, good or bad, whether you realize it or not.

Losing weight is quite possibly the most difficult thing that people deal with. With the increasing ease of fast food and the enticement of junk food, it’s no wonder people are gaining weight and having trouble losing. If you are struggling to lose weight, I have good news for you. You can lose weight. It isn’t easy; it requires strength, will power and dedication. But there are some simple steps you can start taking today to help you lose weight. Here are your easy weight loss tips:

Tip #1: Drink at least 40 ounces of water every day. I know this sounds like a lot. It is! However, your body desperately needs every bit of this water—and more. By drinking 6-8 glasses of water (minimum) every day, you keep your body hydrated, which is important to weight loss. Not only that, but drinking water will actually help your body to flush out water weight.

Tip #2: Stop eating junk food. Do you eat lots of junk food—potato chips, candy, soda, etc.? If you would stop to take a count of the amount of calories and fat grams you are consuming by eating these things in just one day, you would probably be shocked. These are called “empty” calories because they fill you up, then leave you hungry and wanting more in under an hour. Stay away from junk food. In fact, purge your cabinets and hiding spots right now so you won’t be tempted.

Tip #3: Exercise at least 20 minutes per day. I know…the word “exercise” probably made your stomach lurch. But exercise can be—and should be—fun! The key is making it fun for you. Getting a little exercise each day is better than getting none at all. Call up a friend and enlist them as your exercise partner. Short, 20-minute walks every day will make you feel much better.

Tip #4: Eliminate all sugar from your diet. While this might sound similar to tip #2, it’s a totally different concept. Sugar makes you crave more sugar. When you eliminate junk food, that is a good, positive first step. However, you must eliminate all sugar in order to not continue craving junk food. The way to do this is to use a sugar substitute in your coffee or tea and reduce or eliminate carbohydrates in your diet. You will have withdrawals for a week or so, but by the second week you won’t even miss all that sugar.

Tip #5: Go easy on yourself. When you slip or mess up (and you probably will at some point), remember to go easy on yourself. Don’t beat yourself up for having that one doughnut or glass of regular soda. Instead, remind yourself of your success to date, then pick yourself up and start all over again.

Did you know that 25% to 40% of workers in the United States suffer from job burnout, due to stress? In addition, research conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that anxiety, stress, and neurotic disorders often more severely affect employees more than the average injury or illness.

With these kinds of numbers, one has to wonder what companies today are doing to decrease the amount of stress in the workplace. The fact remains that many companies lose employees, or at the very least see increased amounts of call-ins for sick days, all due to stress-related events within the company.

If you are an employee that struggles to deal with stress in the workplace, these statistics on stress may astound you. So what measures can you take to reduce stress and effectively manage stress in the workplace?

1. Don’t take work home. If your job is stressful, you need a place to relax and unwind after a long day. Don’t take work home with you. Leave work at work. Let your home be a sanctuary from the stresses of your job.
2. Get out more often. If you work indoors, you might not get to go outside much. Just getting a breath of fresh air and enjoying the beauty of nature can greatly reduce your stress levels.
3. Reduce your caffeine intake. Studies have shown that caffeine can increase your stress levels. Lay off the coffee and sodas and see if that helps reduce your edginess.
4. Get plenty of rest. All too often stress can be attributed to not getting enough sleep every night. Be sure to get in bed early enough and get 6-8 hours of sleep every night.
5. Drink lots of water. Water can tremendously help reduce your stress levels, too. Prevent dehydration by drinking lots of water throughout the day.

These tips will help aid in workplace stress management. Remember that it is up to you to do your part to reduce the stress you feel. Start by taking small steps today.

With the greater majority of Americans feeling stressed out today, we are finding more and more ways to cope and deal with stress in a more productive manner. Music therapy has been determined to greatly aid in reducing stress levels in adults. Music therapy is the practice of using music as a meditation tool to help calm and relax you during stressful times. Music therapy generally consists of listening to soothing music, while practicing deep breathing techniques and other relaxation methods.

How can music help reduce stress?

Music can drastically change and improve your mood. Some experts say the rhythm of the music produces a soothing effect on a subconscious level. It often produces a feeling of safety and refuge from our world. The most important thing to remember when using music therapy to relieve stress is to choose your music wisely. Studies have shown that a variety of music can aid in relieving symptoms of stress. Some such types of music are:

  • Classical
  • Celtic
  • Native American

In addition, you must keep in mind that certain types of music can have the adverse effect as well. “Busy” music like heavy metal, sad country or hard rock could further induce stress levels. You should choose more instrumental music, such as with flutes or bass drums. Sounds of nature can be extremely calming as well.

Tips for effective music therapy sessions:

To get the most out of music therapy, there are some general rules you can follow and apply. While these are not firm and in set in stone, they are great tips for making the most of your music therapy sessions:

  • Sit or lie in a restful state while listening to the music.
  • Choose music you enjoy listening to.
  • Go for a 20-minute walk before or after your music therapy session.
  • Choose music with a slow, soothing rhythm.

The Law of Attraction has been getting a lot of attention lately. Many people believe that your thoughts determine what is going to happen in your life. Think good thoughts and good will happen in your life, but if you think negative thoughts expect bad things to come your way. The following article will give you a clearer picture on the meaing of the Law of Attraction.

The premise behind the Law of Attraction is that you get what you think about. Or, that your thoughts determine your future. Many people scoff at this, saying that nobody can control their destiny with their thoughts. Experts on the Law of Attraction claim that the Law is neutral. It works whichever way you send it. If you attract negativity, then undesirable things are more likely to happen to you. If you are more positive and always look for good things in your life, then you are more likely to experience wonderful things.

How the Law of Attraction works:
Have you ever had one of those moments when something happened (good or bad) and immediately you said, “I knew that was going to happen!”? If so, then you have already had experience with the Law of Attraction. Whether you realized it or not, you attracted the end result you experienced.

First, you must realize that you can control your thoughts and actions. Tune yourself into the right “frequency.” By that, I mean that you have to get in tune with your own desires and needs. Second, you must take responsibility for your actions. Nobody else is to blame is something goes wrong—except you. You control your thoughts, your words, and your actions.  Third, you have to set your thoughts and desires on good things. Stop thinking about all the things that “could” go wrong or “might not” happen. Think only on good things. Harness your mental energy to focus on positive thoughts. Next, imagine how you will feel when you reach that desired outcome. If you want to attract better health, how will you feel after you’ve lost thirty pounds? Hold those thoughts and emotions in your mind as you work towards that outcome.

Finally, you must turn stagnancy into action. The Law of Attraction is nothing without energy behind it. If you want something, start working towards it. As you enforce this action, believe and know that help will come at the perfect time.

Everyone loses sight of their motivation at some point. The key is to find your motivation again. Don’t let yourself become bogged down to the point that you want to give up or quit. Quitting is never an option! If you’re feeling uninspired by the loss of motivation, here are some ways to motivate yourself again:

Give yourself a pep talk-Rather than putting yourself down for feeling unmotivated, give yourself a pep talk. Encourage yourself. Remind yourself of all the things you have accomplished to date. Sometimes a little pep talk will go a long way.

Turn on some music-There is nothing like a shot of your favorite music to get you pumped up again. Put on your favorite CD or turn the radio on and belt out those tunes. Dance around. Sing along. After a few songs, you’ll feel rejuvenated and ready to face the world again.

Read an inspiring book-Self-help books and autobiographies are often very inspiring. If you enjoy reading, visit your local library and pick up a non-fiction book in one of these categories. Chances are, before you even finish reading the book, you’ll probably be motivated once again to carry on.

Color, draw, or paint- It doesn’t matter if you aren’t an artist. If you don’t like to draw, grab a set of paintbrushes and paint or crayons and a coloring book and have at it. Doing something as simple as coloring in a coloring book can help release pent-up negative emotions and stir up creativity once again to inspire you.

While all of these ideas are simple, they work. If you are feeling a loss of motivation, why not give one or all of these ideas a try? Test them for yourself and see if they won’t work for you.
